Zusammenfassung: Die in schwyzerdütsch verfasste Handlung parodiert Elemente kabarettistischer Kleinkunst vor dem Hintergrund einer buffonesken Kriminal- und operettenhaften Liebesgeschichte.

Ruthli, die Tochter der Familie Baumann, steht kurz vor ihrer Verlobung mit dem Polizisten Bruno. Ihr Vater verkauft einem jungen Mann ein erotisches Magazin, der gibt dafür eine vermeintlich billige Perlenkette in Zahlung. Aufgeregt erwartet die Wirtin vom "Lämmli" ihre "international renommierten" Künstler Olly Moreen und André, in den sich Ruthli während eines früheren Gastspiels verliebt hat. Die Gauner Zungen-Miggel, Räuber-Seppli und Bunker-Willy haben eine Perlenkette gestohlen, die sie für ein paar Tage loswerden wollen. Da André ihnen noch einen Gefallen schuldet, muss er die Kette an sich nehmen.

Auf der Probe luchst Olly André die Kette ab. Ruthli verkündet André ihre Verlobung. Eigentlich ist sie noch immer in ihn verliebt. Die eifersüchtige Olly wirft André die Perlenkette vor die Füße. In seiner Verlegenheit redet der Charmeur André Ruthli ein, die Perlenkette sei für sie bestimmt gewesen. In der Abendvorstellung im "Lämmli" treffen Kleinbürger, Künstler, "übel beleumundete" Damen, abenteuerlustige Jungmänner, Provinzler, die Gauner und die Obrigkeit aufeinander. Die Handlung kulminiert.

Auf die Frage ihrer Mutter, woher sie die Kette habe, gibt Ruthli Bruno an, der kurze Zeit später auf der Suche nach der gestohlenen Kette das Lokal betritt. Ruthli entflieht der peinlichen Situation. Als das Licht aus geht, kann auch André, der in Verdacht steht, die Kette gestohlen zu haben, flüchten.

Erst langsam kommt Licht in die Sache. Der Juwelier hat die echte Perlenkette der Auslage gegen eine Imitation ausgetauscht, die die Räuber zu ihrer Schande als echte gestohlen haben, während der junge Mann sich als Enkel des Bestohlenen erweist. Er hat die echte Kette als Imitation gesehen und an sich genommen, um einmal etwas zu erleben. Ruthli hat also die ganze Zeit die falsche Kette gehabt, ihr Vater unwissentlich die echte.

Ruthli und André kommen aus ihrem Versteck hervor. André hat Ruthli, im Grunde genommen zu ihrer Erleichterung, gestanden, dass es mit ihrer "großen" Liebe aus ist. Er versöhnt sich mit Olly, Ruthli mit Bruno und so können die Turbulenzen des Tages und der Nacht in die gewohnt ruhigen bürgerlichen Bahnen zurückgelenkt werden.

Playing by intuition, Tommy becomes a pinball master, which in turn makes him, and by association Nora and Frank, rich and famous. Nora literally shatters Tommy to his awakening, which ultimately leads to both the family's rise and downfall as people initially try to emulate Tommy's path then rebel against it.

Martin's class is in a different way now, and the project is being promoted to a real academic study with the collection of results. Slowly, but surely, the alcohol makes the four friends and their surroundings loosen up. The results are rising, and they really begin to feel life. As the objects go inboard, the experiment progresses for some, and goes off track for others. It becomes clearer and clearer that alcohol can generate great results in world history, but that all daring can also have consequences. The film is described as a fun, touching and thought-provoking drama about friendship, freedom - and alcohol.
